In Home Treatment Program

The intent of the In Home Treatment Program is to help delinquent and dependent males and females age 8-18 develop a positive attitude, learn life skills and establish goals for a successful and productive life.  An Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP) will be developed to meet the needs of each youth and family.  A supportive, structured and disciplined schedule will be maintained, while the development of self-esteem, self-discipline, ethical and mature decision making will be fostered through educational, social and counseling opportunities provided by the treatment team and support staff.  Family relationships will be strengthened through parenting classes and group, individual and family counseling.

The Keystone Adolescent Center’s In Home Treatment Program will be individualized to meet the needs of each child and their family.  Each youth’s treatment team will be made up of a caseworker, treatment coordinator and the Program Director.  A supportive, structured and disciplined schedule will be maintained to foster growth and development.  Individual and group counseling will be afforded each child weekly.  Family groups and counseling will be offered bi-weekly and family therapy offered on an as need basis by therapeutic consultants.  Behavioral modification based on natural consequences and motivational contracts will be employed to ensure and reward positive behaviors.  Field trips and community activities will be utilized and coordinated through community resources.  Regression or Breech of the Behavioral Contract will result in a return to Residential Placement for a refresher course.  This accountability will be sure and immediate which will reduce the risk of recidivism and enable the In Home Counselor to be more effective.

Each client will have a primary/personal counselor who conducts twice a week sessions to discuss treatment issues, goals, behavior and progress evaluation.  The Program Director and Coordinator regularly review the (ISP) Individual Service Plan to assess progress and behavioral contracts with each student.
Group counseling and educational groups meet bi-weekly to develop appropriate values, social skills and facilitate communications.  Special conflict resolution sessions are conducted as needed.

All the Keystone Adolescent Center facility, family group counseling sessions and parenting skills classes will be scheduled bi-weekly to facilitate family growth and unity.
