Transitional Living program

Keystone Adolescent Center, Inc. provides a continuum of quality transitional living services for Females and Males age 14-21, whom have completed a residential placement and are appropriate for a less restrictive placement.  In addition to shelter, food, and supervision, residents are involved in individual and group counseling. Psychiatric, medical and dental services are provided. Educational programming is available by local school districts, trade schools and college courses are available to qualified residents. At the time of admission, a needs-based Individual Service Plan drawing upon the resident’s strengths is developed with the input of the resident, family, placing agency worker and Keystone Adolescent Center staff.

Program Objectives and Anticipated Outcomes  

The intent of the Keystone Adolescent Center Transitional Living Program is to assist youth ages 14-21 in planning for and meeting basic needs in the areas of education, safe housing, life skills and employment.  A supported, structured and disciplined environment will be maintained, while the development of self-esteem, self-discipline, ethical, and mature decision making will be fostered. Youth will be encourage too participate in group meetings, individual one on one reviews and group activities to improve life skills and learn to become a contributing member to society.
